Steps to Edit the About and Contact Information on Your Facebook Page
1. Log in to Your Facebook Account:
- Open Facebook and log into your account that has admin access to the page.
2. Go to Your Facebook Page:
- On the left side menu (desktop) or from the Profile menu (mobile), click on Pages.
- Choose the Page you want to edit.
3. Access the About Section:
- On the left-hand sidebar, you should see a section called About. On mobile, tap More to find this option.
- Click on Edit Page Info to make changes to both the About and Contact Information sections.
4. Edit the About Section:
- Page Description: This is where you write a brief overview of your business or page. Try to keep it concise but informative, explaining what your page is about.
- Click the Edit button next to the Page Description field to add or change the description.
- Additional Information: If applicable, you can add your business’s mission, products, or services in this section.
5. Update Contact Information:
- Phone Number: Under the Contact Info section, you can add or edit your business phone number.
- Select the appropriate country code and enter your phone number.
- Email: Add a contact email address where customers can reach you for inquiries.
- You can also set a Website URL if applicable.
- Address: If your business has a physical location, you can add your business address here, and you can choose whether to show the address on the map.
- Hours: You can also add your business hours, such as opening and closing times.
6. Save Changes:
- After you’ve updated all the relevant information, click Save Changes to apply the updates to your page.
7. Verify Your Contact Information:
- Once updated, double-check that the information appears correctly on your Page.
- If you’re using Facebook Messenger for communication, ensure you enable Message Button to allow users to directly message you from your Page.
Additional Settings for Contact Info and About
Username: You can also set a custom username for your Page (e.g., @YourBusinessName) so that it’s easier to remember and find.
- This can be done in the General Settings under Page Info.
Social Media Links: If you want to link your Instagram, Twitter, or other social media profiles, you can add those links in the relevant fields in the About section.
Call-to-Action Button: You can customize a CTA button (e.g., “Call Now,” “Send Message,” “Learn More”) that will appear on your Page.
- To set this, click on the Add a Button option under the cover photo or go to Page Settings.
By properly setting up your About and Contact Info sections, you make it easier for customers to reach out and understand your business, enhancing your Facebook Page’s effectiveness.
